** This role is Non Hybrid , 5 Days per Week On-Site in the Vaughan, ON location ** Working directly with the VP, you will manage the engineering department which is responsible for product development, production development, and hands-on field support. This role is responsible for building the Engineering Department and Design Oversight of 3 Mechanical Design Engineers. Significant project management, deep knowledge of mechanical/hydraulic/(simple) control design and ability to support and train field personnel. What will Make you Successful in this role?~ Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering. You must posess a P.Eng designation ~10+ years of Experience in Mechanical Engineering Design in Equipment Design, Consumer Product Design and varied industries. ~3 Years Supervising and Managing of a small team of Mechanical Design Engineers. ~ Project management background. PMP is Desired. ~ Experience using SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM and setting up and organizing an Engineering Department. ~ Willingness to be cross-trained within the organization. ~ Ability to work 5 Days per week In Office at the Vaughan, ON location. Responsibilities You will Manage all employees within the Engineering department and work directly with the VP Operations in building an Engineering Department. Managing all design reviews, providing design oversight, Troubleshooting FAT and Commissioning issues. You will also be a coach and grow the Engineering staff. You will use SolidWorks Best Practices and Project Management all Engineering projects within the scope of work. New Product Development, Utilization of DraftSight and be responsible for New Product Development.
