The Director, Global Manufacturing has the overall responsibility for providing operational leadership to the global Multy Group manufacturing operations. The incumbent directs, coordinates and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration of all elements of the manufacturing facilities and related business processes. Coordinates activities concerned with manufacturing, scheduling, technology development and general production. Primary driver of change in the manufacturing methodology, champions Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma projects and ISO9001: 2015 or latest standard. Leads the development and implementation operations strategy to include Manufacturing, Maintenance, Production Planning, Safety and Facilities. Directs the manufacturing of products at most competitive cost, consistent with established specifications while maintaining quality, attaining all customer service objectives and Company requirements. Takes responsibility for the preparation of all capital investment projects, equipment and expense budgets and the maintenance and coordination of these financial estimates and plans. Directs the selection, and installation of equipment necessary to maintain facilities in a competitive position, as well as have ultimate responsibility for cost reduction and control programs while maintaining full utilization of manufacturing capacities. Develops & leads a manufacturing culture of continuous improvement, disciplined problem solving, and ownership of meaningful KPI's throughout the organization. Ensures best practices are identified and shared across all facilities where appropriate. Manages and leads maintenance programs to maintain production equipment and facilities in a manner that optimizes performance and minimizes interruptions. Ensures that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are standardized across all facilities and that quality initiatives and safe working conditions are always present. Develops financial budgets and conducts ongoing analysis to meet budgeted targets. Develops a process technology roadmap for all manufacturing facilities that enables Multy Group facilities to remain competitive and meet the requirements of our 3-to-5-year strategic plan. Validates that effective systems, procedures and financial controls are established within the functional areas that will: Conduct all work duties as per the applicable Occupational Health & Safety Act & Regulations of the region as well as the health, safety & environmental policies and Quality policies as established by Multy Group. conduct performance management reviews on time provide meaningful feedback; Create and/or maintain an accurate and up to date skills development roadmap and competency model to support evolving business needs for both soft and technical skills. Define, maintain and report relative key performance indicators of production, quality, on time delivery, material and labor usage, etc. ensure the open-door policy is observed and a collaborative approach is adopted. Ensure work with his/her respective group is done to ensure overall company training needs are achieved, tracked, and measured for effectiveness. Directly leads a team of General Managers, Plant Managers or Production Managers in all global manufacturing facilities. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited university AND ten (10) years of Senior Operations experience in a regulated environment with significant capital infrastructure, continuous operations and a large labor pool (greater than 100 people on multiple shifts). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing multi-site operations where plastic or rubber extrusion, injection molding and/or compression molding were the predominant manufacturing processes. Language & Communication Skills: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Some fluency in French, Polish, and/or German would be considered an asset.
