Fitzrovia is seeking to hire a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The Maintenance Supervisor ensures superior customer satisfaction by planning, scheduling and executing all maintenance, cleaning and building operation activities. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all move-in, turnover and occupied suite preparation, repair and replacement. Establishes and maintains excellent relationships while working closely with residents, staff, customers and contractors Consults with staff and provides technical guidance, recommendations, and assistance in the analysis of building system problems; Ensures all aspects of the building operations including but not limited to HVAC, mechanical, life safety, operating systems, plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, painting, snow removal, pool maintenance, and equipment are operated in a safe manner and in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations Responds to emergencies on a 24-hour basis, on a rotation; Prepares suites as required, which may include painting, cleaning, general repair and housekeeping to ensure a quality product to our residents Reports any maintenance issues that affect the budget such as life safety, building operations service, vacant repairs, property damage, and common area needs to the manager Responsible for the planning, execution and documentation of all prescribed preventative maintenance tasks Complies with company policies and procedures at all times and ensures building standards and efficiencies are maintained Ensures compliance with applicable legislation such as the Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code, Canadian Standards Association, Technical Standards Association, and Electrical Safety Authority · Attends and participates in training programs as required by Fitzrovia and local city and provincial jurisdictions 3 - 4 years of experience in commercial or residential building operations ~Building Environmental Systems (BES) Operator Class 1 and 2 an asset ~ Knowledge of computerized maintenance programs (CMMS) preferred ~ Demonstrated ability to perform building repairs and knowledge of construction ~ Knowledge of Ontario Fire Code, Building Code, Canadian Electrical Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act and other relevant legislation including "Confined space" entry procedures and relevant testing equipment ~ Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively ~ Computer literacy and MS Office computer skills ~ Knowledge of all facets of building operations and maintenance ~ Must be able to work any shift Sunday-Saturday to support the company's business needs Fitzrovia is a vertically integrated development and asset manager focused on Class-A and vintage-style apartment buildings across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Montreal.
