The ideal candidate will be familiar with the full software design life cycle. They should have experience in designing, coding, testing and consistently managing applications They should be comfortable coding in a number of languages and have an ability to test code in order to maintain high-quality code.

Must Have Technical & Non-Technical Skills

• Seeking a .NET developer with experience in the higher education sector.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information technology and a minimum of 10 years related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• 7 years of experience as a Software Developer in software design, analysis, development, testing and implementation of Microsoft technologies

• 7 years of experience in analysis and development of web based and n-tier applications

• Extensive experience in SQL Server technologies including database design, modelling, maintenance, development of SSIS packages, report development with SSRS, database programming of T-SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and packages in SMSS

• Expert proficiency in / with many of the following:

o Designing, developing, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting web applications, windows services and web services in Microsoft Visual Studio IDE using WebAPI, Entity Framework with Code First and SQL Server database

o Designing and developing applications using .NET and web technologies such as

JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Ajax and XML in n-tier architecture

o Web Services

o DOM

o Polymer, jQuery, JSON, AngularJS

o T-SQL, .NET Web API

o MVC 4+ with EDM (Entity Data Model)

• Demonstrated expansive experience in / with many of the following:

o Hands on application development using C# .NET, ADO/ADO.NET, LINQ, Entity Data

Model, Class Library, WCF, MVC 4+, Razor

o Microsoft Windows environment including Microsoft Server on Virtual Machines, IIS

and SSL management and configuration

o Writing and optimizing stored procedures using MS SQL Server

o Good working knowledge of UML, and OOD including development of Use Cases and

Activity diagrams

o Enterprise level SQL Server Database design, maintenance, developing T-SQL

queries, stored procedures, and triggers interacting with back-end ERPs via WebAPIs

o Report writing using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)

o Data ETL/ELT using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

o Enterprise systems and supporting components and business processes, preferably

within the public sector and/or higher education

o Full SLDC experience, including continuous integration, testing and deployment using Azure DevOps

o Agile, SDLC, Waterfall or XP / Pair Programming methodologies

o Good working knowledge with diagramming tools such as Microsoft Visio

o Extensive source control, preferably GIT usage

o Implementation of authentication schemes such as SSO, integrations with LDAP, and

authorization procedures using ACLs

o Automated testing libraries such as NUnit, MS Test, and Moq
