You will collaborate closely with the sales team to secure clients, assist in resolving internal billing errors, and negotiate pricing with carriers to optimize our cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will be a transportation industry professional who has critical thinking, is good with numbers & numbers analysis, excellent organization abilities and experience in pricing strategies. Create freight rates for domestic and international freight services. Set up / update accounts and rates in transportation software program. update all contract rate quotes. Search for new carriers / vendors to add to our carrier network. Data entry / email / call clients & warehouses regarding the cross border movement of freight. Strong computer skills; quick to learn in-house computer programs. Proficient with Microsoft Excel, with the ability to understand, create and amend formulas and spreadsheets. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Word, for communication & reporting. knowledge of transportation regulations, pricing strategies, and logistics software/systems is an asset. to participate in logistics project and complete excel analysis as needed.
