This unique restaurant concept brings together a thoughtful amalgamation of an expressive culinary journey, artisanal approach and progressive spirits & wine choices, served with a warm, immaculate service within an artistically curated ambience. In the heart of Surrey, they are seeking a skilled Beverage Manager to oversee all aspects of their extensive beverage program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a strong understanding of beverage trends, and excellent leadership skills. As the Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for managing inventory, developing beverage menus, training staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service while adhering to provincial liquor laws.

The salary range is $65-75K plus benefits and tips and lots of opportunities for growth.

DESCRIPTION

  • Develop and implement beverage menus that align with the company's brand and target market, while also meeting BC liquor regulations.
  • Manage inventory levels and control costs through effective ordering and stock management practices
  • Train and supervise bartenders and other beverage service staff to ensure consistent quality and service standards while adhering to responsible alcohol service guidelines.
  • Create and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Monitor industry trends and stay updated on new products and innovations, while also ensuring their compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Implement strategies to maximize beverage sales and profitability
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant health, safety, and liquor regulations, including responsible service of alcohol and age verification.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop beverage pairings for menus and special events

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
  • Strong knowledge of beverages, including wine, spirits, cocktails, and noKin-alcoholic options, along with a thorough understanding of BC liquor regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and lead a diverse team.
  • Leadership abilities with a focus on team building, staff development, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills, particularly in managing inventory and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office applications
  • A strong understanding of BC liquor regulations.
  • Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., Serving It Right) is required
  • 3-5 years experience behind the bar
