Location: The candidate will be required to travel to the clinics in Sudbury, ON, North Bay, ON, Henvy Inlet, Huntsville, ON. Job Type: Full-Time Permanent 00 per hour stipend Local 175. Preparation for the Future – Retirement Savings Plan The Float Nurse will travel regionally with the flexibility to work within a delegated model for patients on opioid agonist treatment within a clinic environment. The Float Nurse will participate in regular on-site visits to assist, support and complete bloodwork, ECGs and immunizations will be a critical part of the role. Operates professionally, ethically and with integrity within the guidelines and standards of the Ontario College of Nurses and adheres to the highest standards of medical practice Dispense and administer medications (including methadone, suboxone, narcotics, and injections) as delegated by a licensed Physician. Performs ECG's, venipuncture, urine drug screening supervision and testing and other vitals Communicates with Physician regarding patient needs, change in status and all emergency situations including medical abnormalities Scheduling, information entry and assessment, data management, and document management Update, maintain and ensure accuracy of patient information within Electronic Medical Records Completion of a Diploma in Registered Practical Nursing Previous experience in addiction treatment and/or a similar field. Completes yearly CNO Quality Assurance certification. Phlebotomy and Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) are an asset. Current First Aid and CPR Certification is required. Strong commitment to working with individuals living with addiction and mental health. Proficiency in using Microsoft platform, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
