Accounts Payable Associate

Job Summary : We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Associate to help us with our purchase orders, receiving, and invoices while servicing internal and external client requirements with quality and care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process supplier invoices by matching the appropriate purchase order/receiving or contract for large volumes in a fast-paced environment. Ensure authorized ITC/ITR amounts are taken according to the type of expense;
• Calculate self-assessment of taxes for Canada and the USA when necessary;
• Assist in the month-end closing process to meet department deadlines;
• Analyse supplier statements and follow up on missing invoices;
• Verification of appropriate expense allocation to cost centers and general ledger accounts;
• Ensure required approval is obtained to confirm processing of supplier invoices.

Qualifications:

• 3-4 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in the retail industry;
• DEC in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience in a multi-currency environment;
• Strong knowledge of direct and indirect tax implications of various types of transactions;
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must;
• High aptitude with computer systems, MS Dynamics Great Plains finance system is an asset;
• Bilingual French and English, spoken and written.
