Temporary Vancouver H/O - Canfor/CWPM_1000 As Senior Credit Analyst, your core responsibility is to assess the credit worthiness of current and prospective accounts by collecting and analyzing data from internal and external sources, including Canfor Sales, credit bureaus, trade references, and financial statements. With the authority delegated by the Director of Credit or Credit Manager, you will be empowered to make credit-granting decisions while ensuring the maintenance of accurate and timely information to meet Credit Management requirements. This position offers a 9-month temporary contract and provides flexibility in terms of location within Canada. The life of the Senior Credit Analyst includes: Collection monitoring Promptly informing the Director of Credit and Credit Manager of any reported or suspected cash flow issues or insolvent accounts. Approval of credit releases within policy guidelines Monitoring Monitor accounts for updates and changes required for customer master files to ensure they reflect current and accurate data Monitor payment trends through Aged Trial Balances, and promptly report any anomalies to the Credit Director and Credit Manager for further action. Credit Analysis Conduct credit reviews for new and existing accounts utilizing data from multiple sources, including internal reports, credit bureaus, trade references, and financial statements Analyze over-limit and available credit reports, Manage monthly and quarterly reporting by preparing, organizing, and storing necessary information, including accurate credit review records. Oversee credit reporting processes and ensure timely action on available credit information, maintaining detailed records. Continuously evaluate and improve systems, propose enhancements, and execute projects assigned, while also handling additional responsibilities as directed by the Credit Director or Credit Manager. Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. Candidates without a BBA qualification are encouraged to have completed basic accounting and/or credit management courses from reputable institutions such as the Credit Institute of Canada or the National Association of Credit Managers. Minimum of five years of commercial credit experience, encompassing commercial collection and accounts receivable responsibilities including financial statement analysis. In a perfect world, you also possess strong personal computer skills and are experienced with the JD Edwards ERP System. The salary range for this position is: $69,000.Please Note: The range provided is for base salary only.
