Our client, a Public Accounting Firm located in Mississauga, is currently seeking a dynamic and detailed Bookkeeper to join their growing team!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Full Cycle Bookkeeping responsibilities
  • Data entry, journal entries and posting of transactions
  • Management and Subject Matter Expert on QuickBooks.
  • Reconciliations (Bank and Credit cards), general ledger and trial balance input and verification
  • Prepare Trial balances for staff accountant to review
  • Client filings GST, HST, WSIB, T4, T5, Payroll, ROEs, EHT
  • Maintains and balances General ledger.
  • Complies with federal and provincial legal requirements by compiling, filing and advising management on needed actions including WSIB, HST, EHT, ROE's, QST, PST, source deductions and T4s.
Job Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting from a recognized community college or university.
  • Strong Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks online (Sage experience is an asset)
  • Knowledge and experience with CaseWare is considered an asset
  • Proven organization, prioritization and attention to detail skills
  • Excellent people-skills is a must with ability to actively engage with existing clients
  • Exceptional English written and oral communication skills
  • Proven leadership skills and excellent communication
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient with computer applications in general e.g. MS 365 Office (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
  • Aptitude to learn new systems quickly
  • Fast learner, flexible, able to adapt, and always eager to learn.
