The Opportunity
We are looking for a junior environmental engineer or scientist who is passionate about creating positive change and wants to join a company that values its employees.
ResponsibilitiesJob requires approximately 50 percent of time is spent outdoors on jobsites, in all types of weather.
- Soil, groundwater, surface water and sediment sampling and monitoring using various methods with handheld and automatic instrumentation.
- Oversight and direction of contractors and subcontractors.
- Observing and logging boreholes and the installation of monitoring wells.
- Remediation monitoring and documentation.
- Field equipment maintenance and inventory.
- Conducting Building Condition Assessments (BCAs).
- Conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
- Reporting to project co-ordinators, managers and clients.
- Report writing and data interpretation and analysis.
- Job includes periodic out-of-town travel using personal vehicle, with mileage reimbursement.

A graduate of a recognized engineering or science program eligible for P.Eng. or P.Geo. Knowledge of Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments. Understanding of hydrogeological processes and soil structures and some working knowledge of analytical chemistry. Experience with Microsoft Office – Word and Excel.
