Job Description

As the critical liaison between our company and clients, you will have excellent communication skills, and the ability to understand the needs and wants of our clients and be able to translate those needs into actionable business objectives. With clients across various industries from oil and gas, mining, and forestry to aerospace & agriculture - up to & including entire plant moves; MGF Projects has a diverse service portfolio and a customer base to match.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify and engage with potential clients within the logistics industry, including manufacturers, distributors, and retailers.
  2. Utilize your strong entrepreneurial skills to proactively identify new business opportunities and foster a culture of innovation.
  3. Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive pipeline growth and achieve sales targets.
  4. Cultivate new and existing leads from within the MGF Group and our various international partners.
  5. Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential business opportunities.
  6. Conduct sales presentations, negotiations, and proposals to potential clients, addressing their specific needs and showcasing the benefits of our services.
  7. Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure seamless onboarding of new clients and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  8. Stay current on industry developments, market trends, and emerging technologies to identify new business opportunities.
Qualifications Requirements
  1. Minimum 5 years experience in business development or sales in the project logistics and transportation industry.
  2. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, with a focus on driving new business.
  3. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information and supply chain solutions to clients.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills, a natural relationship builder with the ability to establish rapport and trust with clients and colleagues alike.
  5. A strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the air and ocean logistics industry, market dynamics and customer needs.
  6. Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools to manage and track pipeline activity.
  7. Strong entrepreneurial skills with the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and adapt to changing priorities.
Advantages (Preferred, but not not required)
  • Strong knowledge of US Customs rules and regulations would be very advantageous to complement.
