Job Information

Stanton Territorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated Relief Medical Laboratory Assistant 1 (MLA1) to join our dynamic team!

As an MLA1, you will play a crucial role in collecting, sorting, processing, and distributing laboratory samples while maintaining patient results within our esteemed hospital laboratory. You will be an integral part of the healthcare team, providing exceptional customer service to all laboratory clients.

Your responsibilities will include collecting and handling laboratory samples with precision and care, performing and reporting Point of Care Testing to ensure timely results, and assisting in laboratory quality assurance activities to maintain high standards. Utilizing computerized patient record databases, you will facilitate efficient result distribution and tracking.

To be considered for this role, you must have the successful completion of an Accreditation Canada recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant Program at a minimum of a certificate level.

You must also be certified at the time of employment and maintain active registration with the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science as a Certified Medical Laboratory Assistant
