Scope :
Two Senior IT Business Analysts are required to assist the ENMOC branch in the successful modernization of the legacy applications used to operate the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan. The resource will be working in collaboration with an existing team of internal and external resources to support documentation of current state, identify and execute application modernization initiatives and support the development of new applications.

Duties :
Positions are required to fill the Senior IT Business Analysts role to complement the internal project team. These skillsets are in short supply in the Ministry of Health and additional capacity is required. The resource will have a strong background experience with Health Care, experience delivering health related projects and preferably, Health Care Insurance project experience.

The individuals will have experience supporting and maintaining legacy mainframe application built using NATURAL/ADABASE, JCL, COBOL and DB2. The individuals will also have experience planning for modernization of these legacy applications. The individuals will have experience documenting technical recommendations and providing technical advice to management, operations and project team members within a multi-vendor shared IT services environment.

Candidates will be required to answer questions relating to their experience for all skillsets. This will include experience with skillsets identified as desirable and familiar. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate more than surface knowledge of all topics.

Equipment requirements:
Contractor need to use their own equipment

Working Hours:
• Standard Hours of work are 08:15 - 16:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays observed by the Province
• Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security issues.
• It is anticipated the role will be remote with multiple meetings on site. In the event of an onsite meeting, the GoA does not pay for travel to attend on-site meetings, nor any expenses related to relocation, commuting, housing/accommodation, food/drink.

Notes on Location:
Resource will work remotely, though must be available for onsite meetings when required.
Onsite meetings include but are not limited to strategic, architectural, and technical discussions, meeting with team members, senior managers, directors, executive directors and business clients.
