Their products are currently available in 20 retail locations across North America, and they have a track record of collaboration with leading global corporations. Mosa's co-founders have earned acclaim, being named among BC's 30 Under 30 for 2024 and BC's Women of the Year for 2022 in recognition of their efforts, which have diverted over 15,000 glass bottles from landfills.

Role Description

As a full-time Sales and Marketing Director, you will be responsible for driving B2B sales growth by expanding our presence in retail stores and targeting corporate clients for partnership opportunities. Leveraging your expertise in sales strategy, relationship-building, and market analysis, you will develop and execute initiatives to maximise revenue and market share. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our sales strategy and driving the company's overall growth objectives.

This role is located in Vancouver, BC, with flexibility for some remote work (3 days in office min).

Key tasks

  • Identify target markets for upcycled custom candles and glassware, aligning with the company's commitment to environmental sustainability and innovation.
  • Conduct studies of target markets and competitive analysis of market players to identify consumer trends, market gaps for innovation, and potential barriers for adoption within the sustainable gifting sector.
  • Develop a strategic marketing plan based on research findings to optimize product positioning and visibility in the identified target market segments, leveraging the unique value proposition of our sustainable products.
  • Devise and execute strategic sales strategies to bolster sales among corporate clientele.
  • Develop a comprehensive pricing strategy for corporate customers for the custom candles and glassware product lines, considering factors such as value proposition, competitive landscape, and customer preferences, to maximize profitability and market share.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in retail stores.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners and corporate clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of sales initiatives with marketing, product development, and operations.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify areas for growth and optimization.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and insights to senior management.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
  • Assess the commercial feasibility and scalability of sustainable technology products to validate the market fit and adoption potential.

Experience/ Skills Required

1. Min. 2 years experience in a similar role

2. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.

2. Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably within the consumer goods industry.

3. Demonstrated experience in expanding retail distribution channels and securing corporate partnerships.

4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights.

5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

6. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business objectives.

7. Leadership experience with a proven ability to inspire and manage a sales team.

8. Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-oriented approach and a drive to exceed targets.

9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

10. Passion for the consumer goods industry and a genuine enthusiasm for our products.
