Open since 1978, our client is a watch and jewelry store located in the heart of downtown Montreal. They carry over 30 high-end brands, create jewelry and engagement rings and offer servicing & repair for both watches and jewelry. They are dedicated to offering the best customer service possible.
Their premises has been completely renovated and a larger expansion is ongoing, offering a beautiful new work environment. They are a family-run business with a close-knit team, seeking a poised and professional Receptionist to join them.
Position summary:
As the first point of contact for our prestigious clientele, you will play a crucial role in creating a lasting impression and ensuring a seamless experience for all who enter our boutique. Key Responsibilities:
1. Welcome and Greet Clients:
- Extend a warm and hospitable welcome to all clients as they enter the boutique.
- Ensure clients are promptly attended to and made to feel valued.
2. Answer Inquiries:
- Field and transfer phone calls to correct sales associate or department. When required, take detailed note of any messages, and distribute them in a timely manner.
- Provide accurate and detailed information about the boutique's offerings to callers.
4. Maintain Boutique Appearance:
- Ensure the boutique's reception area is immaculate, well-lit, and aesthetically pleasing.
- Oversee floral arrangements and decorations to enhance the boutique's ambiance.
5. Client Assistance:
- Ensure every client is attended to by a sales associate.
- Assist any waiting clients by offering them a seat and a beverage or by guiding them to the area/brand requested.
6. Administrative Duties:
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and managing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Assist in inventory management and merchandising as needed.
7. Coordinate with Boutique Staff:
- Collaborate with sales and service associates to ensure a smooth client experience.
- Communicate client preferences and special requests to the relevant staff members.
- Co-ordinate with sales associates on appointment management and scheduling.
8. Maintain Client Privacy:
- Uphold strict confidentiality and discretion regarding client information and transactions.
- Adhere to all privacy and security protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality or a related field is a plus.
- Fluent in English and French
- Previous experience in a luxury retail or boutique setting is preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a polished and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including point-of-sale software and scheduling applications.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging client situations with tact and diplomacy.
Job Type:
- Full-time
- Tuesday to Saturday.
