Position: Senior Cyber Security Risk Specialist
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Job Type: Full-time permanent, Hybrid
Our client, a leader in the retail space, is currently seeking a Senior Cyber Security Risk Specialist. This role is heavily focused on Security risk assessments, conducting in depth security analyses on new and existing solutions providing TRA reports as well as provide guidance on risk mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities:

- Subject Matter Expertise: Provide expert guidance to multiple business lines on security requirements, controls, and standards for new services, products, and projects.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Educate and advise internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of security practices with project objectives and strategic goals.
- Security Analysis and Reporting: Conduct in-depth security analyses and produce clear Threat Risk Assessment (TRA) reports to identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities in solutions.
- Project Leadership: Lead cybersecurity projects from inception to completion, ensuring the implementation of robust protection measures and risk mitigation strategies.
- Policy Development and Awareness: Contribute to the development of cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures while fostering a culture of security awareness through education campaigns and effective communication with colleagues and stakeholder

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or an equivalent field of study, and/or a mix of education, certifications, and experience.
- Minimum 5 years working as a cybersecurity practitioner.
- Knowledge of Cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, and Google.
- Knowledge of Industry security standards such as NIST, PCI DSS, CIS, ISO, COBIT etc.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented; adept at managing and meeting multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines in a high-paced environment.
- Understanding threat hunting techniques is an asset.
- CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CEH, OSCP, or other security certifications are an asset.
