Invermere Home Hardware is looking for people like you to join our growing team. We're Pros at helping Pros and we have been successfully serving the Columbia Valley for over 30 years.

The commercial sales main focus will be the hospitality industry, offering exceptional products aimed at making our customer's ordering experience easy. Including pre-ordering and site delivery, processing transactions, using retail software, keeping accurate inventory records, and performing various services for customers such as providing information and confirming pricing.

This is a fast paced environment which requires a level of multi-tasking as you will not only service pre-orders but service walk-in customers as well, all done in a prompt, friendly manner. This sales position performs all assigned tasks with sufficient speed and accuracy to support store efficiency and a high level of customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Ability to work a flexible schedule/including weekends and holidays.
-Experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
-Self-motivated and driven individual who can also work in a team environment.
-Willingness to learn.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Friendly and helpful attitude towards customers.
-Must be able to stand on your feet most of the day and bend, lift, and carry up to 25 lbs.
-Great customer service skills is absolutely a must!

Duties DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Answer telephone and email inquiries promptly and provide information about products, availability, and store policies.
-Assist customers in locating and comparing merchandise.
-Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of local deliveries.
-Operate point of sale equipment, including cash register with accuracy.
-Work closely with drivers to ensure they have accurate information regarding delivery locations, quantities, and special instructions.
-Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and customer interactions, and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
-Communicate with customers to confirm orders, address any changes or special requests, and provide updates on delivery status.
-Resolve any issues or concerns that arise during the delivery process.
-Assist in promoting positive customer relations by documenting complaints and forwarding to the proper department or person responsible.
-Coordinate with purchasing personnel to ensure an adequate supply of product is available to fulfill orders and minimize supply chain disruptions.
-Collaborate with other departments, such as receiving and operations, to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
-Ordering and managing inventory.
-Work in a safe manner in accordance to provincial and federal safety legislation, as well as use of good common sense. Report any potential hazards and unsafe behavior to management in order to have the situation corrected.
-Keep stock in storage area neat, clean, and orderly.
-Assist in training new cashiers.
-Watch for shoplifting and take action according to store policy.
-Attend store meetings, training sessions, etc. as required.
-Help maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the store, including the checkout area and product displays.
-Work on additional duties and assignments as assigned by management.
