Are you a driven professional with proven office support skills and an interest in accounting?

We're currently seeking a Finance Office Clerk for our client downtown Halifax, NS. This is a 6-month contract until November 2024 with a Federal Crown Corporation, ideal for a positive and diligent individual with a desire to learn.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Administrative and front desk reception
  • Ordering office supplies and tracking supply inventory
  • Financial data entry
  • Accounts payable and receivable support
  • Collections
  • Special project support
  • Supporting the CFO and accounting team with various projects as assigned
  • General filing and office coordination

Experience & Attributes for Success:

  • Post-secondary education with a focus in office administration, accounting, or bookkeeping
  • 1 2 years experience in a similar office support role
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook & Word)
  • Bilingual (French/English) language skills are an asset but not required
  • Highly proficient working with numbers and a keen attention to detail
  • Team player with a strong work ethic
  • Professional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to pitch-in wherever needed
