Early Childhood Educator
Lonsdale Creek Daycare Centre Society is a well-established North Vancouver-based daycare, operating five quality care programs in three locations for infants, toddlers, and 3-5 year old children. Our well-maintained facilities all have beautiful park like settings, including daily outdoor programs. We are dedicated to delivering creative and innovative programs of the highest quality. As a result, our long-standing reputation is built on exceptional care and a professional environment for our staff.

We are currently recruiting for full time ECE Teachers and Infant/Toddler Teachers . You will lead children in activities to stimulate and develop their intellectual, physical, and emotional growth to ensure their safety and well-being. To accomplish this, you will:

· Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with parents and co-workers

· Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, safety, and well-being of children

· Lead activities by telling or reading stories, providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity

· Assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members

· Guide and assist children in the development of eating, dressing and toileting habits

· Communicate effectively internally with Head Supervisor, Director, HR and peers, and withhold established policies and procedures

· Participate in programming, monthly learning themes, children's progress reports, parent meetings (when possible), mentor practicum students, volunteers, and observers.

· Attend staff, mini meetings, and work parties.

Who You Are:

· Ideally you bring a minimum of one year of related experience, demonstrating dedication to providing the highest quality of care and a passion for early childhood development; recent graduates will also be considered

· You enjoy the camaraderie and support of your professional co-workers and actively participate in creating a fun and dynamic workplace

· You can show your commitment to a safety culture and continuous learning about policies and practices that create a safe environment for all.

· You must have a Current ECE License to Practice, and Infant/Toddler Educator License to Practice is an asset

· Valid First Aid and CPR certification

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $29.28-$29.67 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
