THE COMPANY
The Picton Harbour Inn is one of the best places to stay in Prince Edward County - Ontario's newest wine and culinary destination. We offer 29 comfortable guest rooms and 3 fully renovated suites.
Located at the head of Picton Bay, the Picton Harbour Inn has a newly landscaped waterfront including 10 boat slips with access to shore power and water.
The Lighthouse Restaurant is also located on site and has been voted County Weekly News Readers' Choice Favourite Breakfast for several consecutive years. The casual atmosphere, friendly service, and reasonable prices make it a popular destination for visitors and residents alike.
We pay above minimum wage and offer benefits for our full-time employees.
THE POSITION
We are looking for a skilled Groundskeeper to attend to our facilities with care and attention to detail.
The ideal Groundskeeper is efficient yet details oriented and independent.
The position pays $20.95/hr. Available shifts are approximately 8:00am to 3:00pm, with flexibilitye. The position is seasonal with part or full time hours.
Responsibilities include:
- Mow lawns and trim edges using power tools
- Plant, water, and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees
- Perform routine maintenance on garden areas
- Use hand tools to weed, prune, and cultivate gardens
- Keep walkways and parking lots clean and free of debris
- Clean and maintain exterior building cleanliness such as balconies, siding, etc.
- Assist with landscape maintenance projects as needed
- Notify superiors of any damages and deficiencies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of work areas and all surrounding public use areas.
- Adhering strictly to rules regarding health and safety and being aware of company policies.
- Know safety and emergency procedures and be aware of accident prevention policies
Requirements of those applying:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Friendly manner is a must.
- Ability to follow and enforce all company policies.
- Excellent physical condition and stamina.
