POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounts Payable Coordinator will be an integral finance team member in the financial support of head office activities and the oversight of new and existing pharmacies.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

· Accurate Invoice processing ensuring data integrity.

· Assist in vendor set up process and maintaining vendor documentation.

· Reconcile vendor statements.

· Handle vendor and general accounts payable inquiries to rectify any issues.

· Respond to information requests from internal customers.

· Assist with cash disbursement process and/or cash application to subledger.

· Ensure adherence to AP controls and best practices.

· Support efforts of management team through preparation and analysis of ad-hoc reporting as required.

· Other duties as assigned. HIS

QUALIFICATIONS

· 1 – 2 years' experience in Accounts Payable is an asset.

· Intermediate Excel Skillset (V-look up, Pivot Tables).

· Formal education in accounting and/or Business Administration considered an asset.

· Previous knowledge of Chrome River and BC 365 experience are considered an asset.

SKILLS

· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; the ability to manipulate data into spreadsheets, word documents, etc.

· Ability to read, comprehends, write, and speak English to analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

· Proficient knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software, and ability to learn accounting software.

· Capable of working with peers and associates from other departments, stores, Head Office, and Pharmacy & Healthcare community in a proactive and constructive manner.

· Ability to work in a disciplined manner and capable of following established procedures, practices and complying with local, provincial, and federal regulations.

· Ability to manage the pressures and stress associated with a deadline-oriented atmosphere and customer service issues.

· Makes evident good technical understanding.
