Job Duties

  • Assist the station manager with the day-to-day leadership and execution drive
    for various departments.
  • Work with the station manager to create a sense of ownership by providing clear expectations, control of resources, responsibilities, and coaching.
  • Make management decisions in line with CanaDream's policies, procedures and other relevant guidelines to ensure consistency.
  • Assume joint responsibility for the overall performance, profitability, growth, direction and success of the station.
  • Work with the executive assistant to address facility/building maintenance issues in the station manager's absence.
  • Aid in the effective handling of various day-to-day issues such as operational, late Guests, Guests' complaints, vehicle switches, claims, and shop maintenance issues.
  • Ensure appropriate usage of company-owned assets.
  • Work jointly with the station manager to determine staffing requirements.
  • Work with the station manager to enforce training as implemented by the Head Office.
  • Distribute company-wide communications to applicable crew members in a timely manner.
  • Motivate and instill a sense of pride and ensure all crew members perform their duties with an attitude of "It's our pleasure" and "We are happy to."
  • Work with the station manager to develop crew members' skills and competencies.
  • Make certain that companywide policies on kitting are being followed and physical kit counts are performed as required by Head Office.
  • Monitor, improve and maintain guest service standards in the day-to-day operation of the station.
  • Ensure high levels of guest service are maintained.
  • Work with the station manager to develop and motivate crew members to achieve ancillary sales targets and NPS scores.
  • Ensure cost is kept within budgeted levels.
  • Perform the daily duties of any other station worker if needed.
  • Ensure adherence to occupational health, safety, wellness and sustainability policies, procedures and programs.
  • Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience within the automotive/RV industry or Hospitality industry.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relations with others both internally and externally to achieve the goals of the organization.
  • Communicate effectively by speaking, listening and writing in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems and make decisions that enhance the organization's effectiveness.
  • Anticipate, understand and respond to the needs of internal and external clients to meet or exceed their expectations within CanaDream's parameters.
  • Effectively assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear and timely decisions.
  • Evaluate problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions and make recommendations and or/resolve the problem.
  • Experience in maintenance and asset management in a fleet environment is an asset.
  • Previous involvement in researching, comparing and purchasing vehicles, equipment and supplies is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Proven success in the development and implementation of program improvements for cost-saving measures.
  • Excellent organizational, strategic, delegation planning and implementation skills.
  • Meticulous record maintenance skills.
  • Detailed oriented and the ability to follow through.
