Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the estimating process runs smoothly, exceeding client expectations throughout the project duration.
2. Review all details to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of all submitted quotes, capturing project scope and trades.
3. Review project specifications, RFPs, drawings, insurance requirements, and more to understand project scope, trades, and timelines.
4. Attend bid site walks to grasp project scope, collect on-site data for estimates, and ensure clear information for finalized estimates.
5. Send drawings and specifications to subtrades promptly for accurate proposals.
6. Manage and mentor Junior Estimators and future team members.

Qualifications:

• 5-7+ years leading an estimating team for ICI projects valued at $1M and above.
• Proven track record of awarding projects.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex plans and create accurate estimates.
• Attention to detail while handling multiple estimating projects simultaneously.
• Ability to manage own work while overseeing direct reports.
• Proficiency in qualifying subcontractor quotes and negotiating pricing.
• Knowledge of construction industry practices, processes, and materials.
• Experience in managing direct reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in PlanSwift and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel to job sites within the Greater Toronto Area as needed.
