As a Team Assistant , you will provide supportfor the assigned team in their daily activities to ensure that patients receiveprompt, effective customer service.

Byapplying your health care administrative support experience – you will have the opportunity to play a key role in providingconnected, accessible, patient-centered care – and be supported by ourcollaborative team that includes over 8,000 regulated health care and otherprofessionals.

What will you do?

· Provide administrative support services to amulti-disciplinary team.

· Process new referrals, and orders for services, supplies, andequipment.

· Process and assist in managing confidential patient records.

· Enter, update, and maintain a high volume of patient data inthe electronic database.

· Answer a high volume of telephone inquiries from patients, families,and service providers, and refer callers as appropriate.

· Provide back-up support to other positions, as required.

What must you have?

· A Grade12 diploma (minimum)

· Relevantexperience providing clerical support services in a computerized office environment.

· Accuratekeyboarding/data-entry skills

· Proficientwith database software, MS Word, Excel, and other applications in a Windowsenvironment

· Excellentorganizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Advancedmulti-tasking skills, with the ability to meet performance and service goals.

· Exceptionalinterpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team and interacttactfully and sensitively with patients from wide-ranging cultural, ethnic, andsocio-economic backgrounds.

  • Excellent oral and written communicationskills, including strong listening skills.
  • Advanced oral and written proficiency inEnglish and French is essential.
  • Flexibilityto work a schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends to meetorganizational needs.

· We havea mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy. As a condition of employment, allemployees are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination status prior tostart date.

What wouldgive you the edge?

· A college diploma in the health or socialservices field, or business/office administration

· Familiarity with medical terminology, and officeadministrative procedures/concepts

· Knowledge of services provided by Home andCommunity Care Support Services

· Ability to speak French or another second language.

French Proficiency: French required

Salary: To be determined

Terms of Employment: Temporary, Full-Time
