To support us on our journey, Sinai Health System is looking for a Registered Nurse to support Medical Imaging – Angiography.
- Administration of various medication to patients undergoing interventional procedures i.e. conscious sedation
- Assist physicians with procedures
- Prepare patients for procedures and monitor before, during and after
Job Requirements
- Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Completion of BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification
- BScN (preferred)
- Current nursing experience in Angiography/Interventional Radiology (preferred)
- Current nursing experience in an Acute Care setting (an asset)
- Proficiency in venipuncture
- Sound knowledge base and demonstrated skills in physical assessment and sterile technique
- Basic ECG interpretation
- Ability to wear a 20 lbs protective lead apron for extended periods of time
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under stressful conditions
- Effective time management skills, ability to organize and set priorities
- Possesses excellent critical thinking and problem solving abilities
- Commitment to shared leadership and team based decision making
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively as a team member
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to patient and family centred care
