TalentWorld is recruiting a Senior Compensation Analyst in Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive compensation strategies to attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation structures.
  • Collaborate with HR partners and business leaders to align compensation programs with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead the design and administration of base salary, variable pay, and equity compensation plans.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on job evaluations, leveling, and career pathing.
  • Manage the annual compensation cycle, including merit increases, bonus payouts, and equity grants.
  • Partner with external vendors and consultants to optimize compensation programs and practices.
  • Analyze compensation data and trends to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation.
  • Serve as a thought leader and advocate for pay equity, transparency, and fairness in compensation practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8-12+ years of progressive experience in compensation, rewards, or related HR functions.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred, but not required.
  • Strong understanding of compensation principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing effective compensation programs in a complex organizational environment.
  • Experience with job evaluation methodologies, market pricing analysis, and pay equity initiatives.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems such as UKG (UltiPro), SAP, SuccessFactors, or Workday.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive compensation information.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of compensation and rewards.

Employment Details

  • Salary: $130k - $170k
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits, Permanent, Full-time, Hybrid
  • Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday
