FUNCTION:

Assist in providing overall Management and Leadership for our Food & Beverage Outlet's & Events Operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises daily F&B shift operation and monitors compliance with all F&B policies, standards and procedures.
  • Assist with scheduling and staffing levels of Outlets and Events Team to forecast and service standards, while maximizing profit, completing semi monthly payroll for team
  • Conducts monthly / quarterly department meetings with the Outlets and events team.
  • Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
  • Monitors associate satisfaction and takes action to ensure collaboration, effective communication, trust, and cooperation among the team
  • Fosters positive relationships with other departments, address cross departmental needs
  • Manages day-to-day operations, monitors quality, and standards and meets the expectations of the guests daily.
  • Provides direct service to guests as needed, including but not limited to serving tables, bussing tables, seating guests, general cleric & cashier duties, and problem resolution
  • Reviews Guest voice surveys & Event Phase portion result with Outlets and Events associates accordingly, provides leadership and demonstrates a passion for excellent service including taking action accordingly
  • Reviews and assists Banquet supervisors with daily Events billing.
  • Assists with controlling Beverage costs & Monthly Beverage inventory.
  • Attends and participates in all pertinent meetings and internal communications regarding conference sheets, BEOs, room assignments, etc.
  • Supports a departmental orientation program for employees to receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.
  • Provide guidance and direction to all the associates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution
  • Adheres to Department Head standards of conduct at all times, demonstrates a high degree of integrity, and sets an example for team members
  • Ensures a safe work environment by maintaining, ensuring adherence to, and promoting various elements of the Hotel health & safety program
  • Review with associates applicable safety rules/procedures and monitor compliance
  • Performs all duties in a safe manner according to established safe work practices
  • Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • · Knowledge of hotel Food and Beverage Operations. (Outlets & Events)
  • · 2+ years in a hotel Food & Beverage operation
  • · Excellent knowledge of liquor; wines and spirits.
  • · Must possess basic computer skills.
  • · Knowledge of food service techniques and cost controls including inventory monitoring software and productivity, Food & Beverage cost and other expenses.
  • · Knowledge of provincial and local laws governing equal employment opportunity, human rights, occupational safety & health and employment standards
  • · Preference will be given to applicants with previous Food & Beverage leadership Experience

HOURS OF WORK:

Afternoon/evening. Weekends & holidays as necessary to complete operational and management responsibilities.

REPORTS TO: Director of Food & Beverage
