Duties
We are looking for creative problem solvers with a passion for delivering data-driven insights. This position works alongside product management, product development, marketing, and data engineering to deliver business results using data for insights and optimization.
- Understands the business and works to deliver business monitoring analytics
- Drives independent or team-oriented business analytic projects that address reasonably complex business questions
- Exercises independent judgment in leveraging business domain knowledge and selecting the analytical tools and programming required for insight generation (e.g., customer profiles, conversion funnels, web behavior, customer product experience)
- Supports the identification of new technical requirements, and the testing/ troubleshooting of new product data capture functionality
- Educates and provides guidance to business stakeholders on how best to harness available data in support of business needs
- Contribute to data standards to improve quality of data and speed of analysis
- Executes routine data capture processes
- Cleansed/transformed data from raw data inputs
- Data specification, flow mappings, and business logic documentation associated with new or modified product data capture requirements
- Design and code documentation
Skills
Qualifications:
- Expert in technical database skills (such as SQL, Hive and others), data automation tools, scripting languages (such as Python, Scala and others) and distributed data systems (such as Hadoop).
- Experienced in building data processes including data modeling and ETL processes
- Prepared data sets and reports to support more complex analysis
- Proficiency in data visualization using tools like Tableau or Qlikview
- Analytical and detail-oriented mind-set with an eye for details
- A strong client partnership or consulting mindset to interact effectively with technical and non-technical partners
- Ability to work independently, under pressure with a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines and influence change
- Outstanding team player who is able to work seamlessly with cross functional stakeholders and analytics team members
- Very organized approach to managing workload with ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Awesome communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex data, the context surrounding it, and the implications to business stakeholders
- Years of experience: 3- 5 years
- Interview Process: 1st round 30 minutes. Technical with Principal Tech Analyst - On SQL primarily. We also want someone with strong Tableau skills. Knowledge of Data Engineering practices include ETL processes would be valuable.
- 2nd round: 45-60 minutes. Showcase their previous work, Group interview with other team members
- Remote or not: We expect 2 - 3 days a week in the office. Most team members are coming 2 days a week.
