About the role:

The Global Analytics & Insights mission is to Disease Areas through the provision of excellent market, patient, customer and competitor understanding. This role will focus on the preparation for commercial launch phase, and involves improving the quality of the decisions taken on our assets and across our delivery of forecasting and analytics activities, as well as primary market research.

You'll become a core member of a team of high performing tumour experts (e.g. lung cancer) and functional experts (qual, quant, advanced analytics, forecasting), and will be trained and mentored to develop this expertise yourself. You may lean more towards quantitative activities, and but will also be interested in digging into the market and customer dynamics that drive the numbers.

You'll be part of a team that embraces the use of advanced analytics to uncover deep and rich learnings, and that also embraces the use of psychological tools to unlock the deeper drivers of human behaviour. And you'll be working on new indications for some of AstraZeneca's leading oncology drugs.

Main Responsibilities:

Insights: develop deep customer understanding, to support commercial strategy development. Includes developing insights plans, identifying insights gaps, leading qual & quant market research, leading synthesis sessions, and developing slides to capture the storyline in a simple and clear way – as part of core team with GA&I Central Hub members.

Forecasting: deliver robust valuations for your brand or indications. Includes using secondary data to identify analogues and to build market landscapes, analysing data from many sources to support assumptions (such as epidemiology, duration of treatment), developing simple slides to communicate data, and working with forecasting agency to make updates to models – as part of core team with GA&I Central Hub members

Essential Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or above in social sciences, psychology, or qualitative / quantitative / psychological research methods

2+ years of forecasting & analytics experience in pharma industry or consulting sphere

Curious mind, and ability to connect dots and synthesise insights

Experience in advanced forecasting, quantitative primary research, primary and secondary data analysis

Strong proficiency in Excel, excellent numerical and analytical skills

Pharma experience

Desirable Requirements:

Experience with a strategic consultancy

Experience working in brand strategy or commercial launch setting

Master's degree in one of fields named above

RWE analysis experience (e.g. claim data analysis, ATU analysis); Oncology experience

Expertise in statistical analysis tools, and data visualization
