What you will be doing in the role of Project Engineering:

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  1. Act as main point of contact for customers, Emerson contacts, and team members within the Nuclear Team for assigned orders and projects
  2. Interact frequently with customers to interpret their needs and requirements, ensuring they are captured in Lakeside's supply of products, services, and solutions
  3. Oversee all communication among stakeholders to support on-time delivery
  4. Prepare and maintain detailed documentation tracking lists, project status reports, and documentation packages (when necessary) to ensure all customer comments are addressed
  5. Support the delivery of accrual information to customers and delivery of progress and final invoices
  6. Create and process non-technical change orders to facilitate PO updates and/or necessary changes within Lakeside's ERP system
  7. Lead and maintain regular cadence calls with assigned vendor or Emerson Business Units
  8. Support site visits and initiatives with assigned vendors or Emerson Business Units to improve business relationship
  9. Act as an escalation point for the Nuclear Team for assigned vendor or Emerson Business Unit
  10. Act as back-up to a Project Manager for specific meetings or engagements
  11. Act as Process Owner for assigned nuclear processes and continually assess areas for continuous improvement
Knowledge and skills required for the role:

One to Four (1-4) years' experience in Project Coordination or Project Engineering

Engineering Degree or Technologist Diploma in an Engineering program (Chemical or Mechanical discipline preferred)

Exposure to Project Management methodologies

Knowledge of process control and instrumentation

Strong communication skills (written and verbal), including training & presentation skills

Strong attention to detail

Strong knowledge and abilities with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Exposure to the process industry including Chemical and Specialty Chemicals, Mining, Pulp and Paper, Refining, Power, Cogeneration (Power and Steam Production), Pharma and Biotech, and Food and Beverage would be an asset
