Overview:

We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Mechanical Engineer, to work out of our office. This position is responsible for the completion of mechanical engineering design, investigation and management of multiple projects of varying scope and complexity. Responsibilities:

1. Designing HVAC and Plumbing Systems for retrofit and new construction for Commercial low and high-rise residential buildings
2. Coordinating with disciplines internally as well as externally with Consultants/Architects
3. Complete reviews of existing mechanical systems
4. Complete written condition/evaluation reports
5. Completion of engineering design assignments and management of projects of various scope and complexity
6. Completion of complex engineering design projects in conjunction with senior Engineers
7. Use of a variety of standard engineering methods and techniques to solve problems
8. Office review of mechanical engineering shop drawings and calculations
9. Field review of mechanical related construction
10. Application of design software for mechanical design in conjunction with senior Engineers
11. Recommend technological improvements to the department
12. Assist other engineers in carrying out technical tasks requiring accuracy in calculations, completeness of data an adherence to prescribed testing analysis, design or computation methods
13. Providing guidance and direction to junior and student engineers or technicians
14. Client interfacing, as required
15. Project management and coordination duties
16. Other assigned duties and tasks, as required

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil/ Mechanical Engineering, Licensed as a Professional Engineer, Minimum 5-10 years of experience, Professional experience working on mechanical restoration projects, Working knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, Outlook, Word, and Excel, Ability to provide leadership to junior engineers/technicians, Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment, Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, Self-motivating and ability to multi-task while maintaining a strong attention to detail, Good oral and written English communication skills, Ability to act with business integrity and professionalism, Valid Ontario Driver's License
