Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Project Control Manager, the candidate will:
- Understand the full project scope of work and key project planning milestones;
- Assist in the development of capital cost studies, including the integration of data from all disciplines, for order of magnitude, pre-feasibility, feasibility and final estimates and/or scenarios;
- Evaluate and document manhours and unit prices for materials required for project activities based on quantity take-offs received and best estimating practices;
- Participate in the development of installation crew rates and labour productivity;
- Segregate each item of a cost estimate into segments of a specific coding structure and assist in the analysis of the results;
- Coordinate and document information exchanges between project stakeholders (engineers, project manager, planning, procurement, client);
- Assist in the drafting and preparation of final documents, such as the basis of estimate, as well as presentations, ensuring the completion of the scope of work;
- Contribute to the improvement of estimating procedures and processes, including database tracking and maintenance.
Qualifications:
Avoir compléter ses études dans un programme technique ou un programme universitaire en ingénierie ou en construction, ou tout autre combinaison d'expérience et d'éducation;
Posséder plus de 2 ans d'expérience en tant qu'estimateur, avec un acquis des méthodes et techniques d'estimation;
Être avide de poursuivre sa carrière en estimation de projet, incluant le vouloir de peaufiner ses connaissances et le dynamisme de grandir dans le domaine;
Savoir manipuler et gérer de grands ensembles de données dans divers systèmes informatiques, spécialement dans Microsoft Excel;
Être très organisé, rigoureux et multitâche, ainsi que démontrer de l'initiative et une bonne capacité d'analyse;
Bonnes aptitudes à la communication, aux relations interpersonnelles et au travail d'équipe avec une excellente éthique de travail;
Avoir une expérience dans le domaine industriel ou industriel lourd.
Atout:
Connaissance des pratiques recommandées de l'AACEI;
Familiarité avec l'interprétation d'un diagramme de procédé (PFD et P&ID);
Connaissance des méthodes de constructions et des requis au site pour l'exécution d'un projet;
Avoir travailler sur des projets de moyenne à grande envergure (plus de 20M);
Connaissance de l'organisation d'un projet IAGC vs IAC et les principes de la gestion des changements sur un projet;
Spécialité en estimation mécanique, tuyauterie ou électrique & Instrumentation
Connaissances en planification, contrôle des coûts et approvisionnement.
