The Coeur Silvertip mine located in British Columbia, just 10 miles south of the Yukon border is seeking a Junior Geologist: Temporary Work Placement to work in a camp-based environment, working 12 hour shifts. The base pay for this position is $27.00 to $29.00 per hour based on skills and experiences. Job Duties : Responsible for accurate core logging and sampling processes and adherence to the company QAQC program. Complete geotechnical logging of drill core. Interpret core logging results and analytical data. Assist team with inspections of exploration drilling worksites and operations. Perform pre-operational checks, operate equipment, and perform all job functions according to Safe Operating procedures. Accomplish other tasks within his/her area of expertise as requested. Position Requirements: Enrolled in a B.Sc. Geology or Geoscience program. Computer literacy with knowledge of Vulcan, and Microsoft Office programs. Valid driver's license. Proficient typing skills, including proper spelling and grammar. Physically fit to perform the duties of the position. Work Placement Requirements: Must be registered in a full time or part time post-secondary program in a Canadian post-secondary institution. Silvertip is located within Tahltan and Kaska First Nations Traditional territories and local community members and Canadian Indigenous peoples are encouraged to apply.
