Cutting Edge Landscaping is currently looking to fill landscape maintenance lead hand positions to keep our completed sites maintained, cleaned, and looking beautiful.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain commercial, residential, and neighbourhood landscape areas to our Cutting Edge standards
2. Organize, motivate and manage a crew of landscaping maintenance personnel on a daily basis
3. Provide direction and feedback to employees, communicate with managers, and clients
4. Operate a truck and trailer, and a variety of small equipment:

Mowers, Trimmers, Edger's, Shears, Sprayers, Back Pack Blowers, Aerators, Sprayers, Water pumps, Sweepers, Various power & hand tools

1. Equipment maintenance checks on trucks, trailers, mowers, and small engines
2. Daily paperwork including time-sheets, daily logs, safety documents, and spray records
3. Have an attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
4. Perform equipment maintenance and daily checks, ensure all equipment is in proper working order
5. Uphold our safety culture and safe work practices
6. Complete required paperwork for our safety program and participates in weekly meetings
7. Work is labour intensive and will be outdoors in all weather conditions
8. Perform various tasks such as:

Turf care including mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, weeding, and watering
Basic pruning of shrubs and trees
Remove litter and debris from site
Plant and water shrubs, bulbs, and annuals
Install mulch, edger, and assist landscape construction division
Identify common plant material, diseases, and insect damage

Required Experience: Landscape Maintenance Lead Hand; 1 year+ Similar Experience

License/Certification/Training:

1. Ability to lift 50lbs
2. Bend, rotate and stand for long periods of time
3. Required: Class 5 Driver's Licence
4. CSTS-2020
5. First Aid Certification
6. Integrated Pest Management – (Asset)
7. Weed Applicator Certificate – (Asset)
8. Basic Pruning Knowledge
9. Small Engine Mechanics & Maintenance Knowledge

Required Equipment: Steel Toed Boots, Hard Hat, Safety glasses, Hearing protection, Gloves
