At Steve Madden Canada head quarter, we are focused on building a team of independent, motivated and genuine people! We are looking for a Senior Accountant that is goal oriented, motivated, dynamic and is always looking to surpasses the expectations!

You will work closely with our team of Account receivable, account payable and accounting managers. This will ensure a productive workflow and a effective training

Our new colleague will make sure to answer internal and external requests with the highest degree of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Bank entries and bank reconciliations
• Account reconciliations and analysis
• Cost accounting (inventory reporting)
• Month-end close (prepaids, accruals, journal entries, etc.)
• Adhoc reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) for internal and external

Requirements:

• Bachelor's of Commerce, Accounting
• Strong Computer and Microsoft Excel skills;
• Experience working with Sage an asset;
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles with the ability to identify and recommend new approaches and process improvements;
• Experience with reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies
