Orbital Technologies is a software development company located in Vancouver, BC with over 20 years of experience building software.

Candidates should have some or all of the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years experience in an enterprise-level commercial software development environment
• Expertise in Object-Oriented Design and Database Design
• Thorough understanding of Angular/React.js and its core principles
• Familiarity with popular State Management and Atomic Design principles.
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge authorization mechanisms, such as JWT and OAuth.
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Great customer-facing, time management, and organizational skills
• Strong initiative – must be able to work with a minimum of supervision
• Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work
• Passion to learn and drive to succeed
• Experience with Azure, AWS, and cloud-hosted applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
• Developing new user-facing features using Angular/React.js
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Coordinate cross-functionally to insure project meets business objectives and compliance standards
• Support test and deployment of new products and features
• Participate in code reviews
