Job Summary Our Finance team is seeking an individual with accounting experience who has strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and an ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external customers.The Accounting Officer is responsible for a variety of general accounting functions, including:Accounts payable duties (data entry and payment processing, such as data entry, maintaining open purchase order listings, invoice batching, working with organization leaders on payment approvals, running the cheque process);Accounts receivable duties (daily deposit process, data entry, receipting, maintaining aged receivable listings, following up on outstanding balances, working with organization leads on requests for invoicing);Supporting month-end and year-end close processes (preparing journal entries, adjustments, and account reconciliations);Responding to customer inquiries regarding their accounts;Providing support to other Finance team members as needed;Analytical review (reasonability testing and quantitative analysis); Data entry and tracking of remittances from participating employers.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to be flexible and willing to adapt to change in workload and priorities;Experience Three years' experience in accounting roleAccounting or Finance certificate/diploma is an assetExperience with MS Dynamics and/or Oracle systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office systems such as Word, Outlook, and Excel
