The Business data Analyst is a pivotal role that combines data analysis, business strategy, advanced data analytics, and visualizations. This position is responsible for managing and analyzing data files, conducting reconciliations, and defining business requirements. The objective is to facilitate evidence-based operational and strategic decisions at the client's Canadian operations.Responsibilities: Business Analysis and Data Management:Manage data files, conduct reconciliations, and perform analysis using data.Understand business requirements and provide comprehensive analysis.Data Analysis and Problem Solving:Maintain knowledge of all primary data sources and classifications used in the analysis.Leverage these data sources for reporting and analysis purposes.Stakeholder Consultation and User Experience - deliver analytical insights to meet stakeholder needs.Choose the optimal method to present analysis by exploring various alternatives and developing prototypes.Data Interpretation and Visualization:Collaborate with various business units to identify problems and requirements.Utilize statistical methods and data modeling techniques to analyze and interpret data.Detect patterns and trends in data, offering recommendations for business decisions.Create and implement data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to effectively convey insights to stakeholders.Continuous Improvement:Develop scalable and automatable analytical solutions.Identify process improvement opportunities through observation and feedback collection from requestors.Engage with stakeholders to analyze business processes and functional requirements for system enhancements.Qualifications:The ideal candidate should have: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.4-6 years of Business Analysis experience and at least 2 years of relevant experience in advanced data analytics.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Proficiency in mapping out complex operational processes.Strong data analysis skills with a proven ability to formulate recommendations based on identified trends and opportunities.Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and meticulous attention to detail.Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Wireframing, Power BI, SQL, Tableau.This role demands a harmonious blend of data analytical skills and business acumen.
