Job Overview:
The basic role of the Senior Sales Consultant will be to increase revenue through the enhancement of pre-established customers and the development of new customers. They will also be responsible for establishing objectives and setting new sales targets regularly.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL:

- Increase revenue from established customers and generate additional revenue from new customers by using proper sales techniques, problem-solving skills, and account management.

- Continuously improve knowledge of construction and technical areas of the stone business.

- Professionally represent the company to existing and potential customers.

- Establish goals and objectives as they relate to the position, along with a plan of action to attain or exceed set goals.

- Regularly review and monitor progress against goals.

- Present a weekly report of sales and leads.

- Communicate effectively with associates, team members, vendors, and customers.

- Continuous prospect for new business.

- Qualify prospective clients and effectively utilize time management.

- Develop professional sales presentations using available company resources.

- Develop and maintain a system of follow-up to ensure no prospective customer or bid "falls through the cracks".

- Submit recommendations and suggestions to management designed to improve sales, efficiency or operations of the department or the company.

- Experience in a showroom - keeping space, samples, and library up to date and tidy.

- Follow a sale through job completion and assisting as possible in having the company's performance exceeds customer expectations.

- Reinforce the company's professional image in all efforts.

- Develop and maintain quality relations with customers.

NON-ESSENTIAL:

- Other job related duties may be assigned from time to time by management.

Education/Skills:

REQUIRED:

- A bachelor's degree in a related field, e.g., business, marketing, design.

- Valid driver's license.

- Be goal-oriented; able to establish goals and monitor progress against set goals.

- Be highly skilled in the process of selling, and constantly strive for improvement.

- Be organized and customer oriented.

- Possess a high work ethic, moral and personal integrity, and honesty.

- Be able to effectively communicate with others, including associates and customers.

- Be mature, flexible, and self-motivated.

- Effective negotiation skills.

Experience:

REQUIRED:

- Minimum of TWO years of experience in the countertop industry

- Experience and confidence to complete the sales process from retail clients to high-end luxury new builds.

- Exemplify professionalism in personal appearance, manner, and dress according to acceptable standards set by the company (business casual)

- Knowledge of computer software programs; email and spreadsheets.

Working Conditions/Environment:

The applicants must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The position will generally be working in an office, some desk, computer, and some showroom work required. Some work will be done in the field and some from the office, actively making sales calls at customer offices and/or on job sites. Workplace noise is in the moderate range, typical of standard office environments.

Work Schedule:

8:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday with some shift work on Saturday. As part of the role, you may need to travel for business purposes, as such the applicant must be open and flexible to these arrangements.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
