About you and this role:

Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Implementation Manager located in Fort Saskatchewan (AB, CAN).

The Implementation Manager will lead, develop, implement, and communicate the tactical and strategic elements of Alberta operations implementation plans to deliver on business needs. Leads the prioritization and implementation of site digital improvement opportunities and required implementation plans. Partners with the Plant and Service group leaders to solicit and collect ideas, describe opportunities, and implement digital projects.

This role will lead the Operations digitization implementation which will need to facilitate collaboration between function /discipline, business, and other cross-functional experts in the application of corporate level, best-in-class information technology (IT) to enable end-to-end businesses processes and related product and equipment digital threads from an Operations Excellence perspective. The basis of this collaboration is the shared objective of defining, delivering, and supporting sustainable IT/OT solutions that provide optimal capability at minimal lifecycle cost to enable safe, reliable, quality, and productive Operations which support best-in-class Employee and Customer Experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Support implementation and utilization of digital manufacturing applications (DMA project applications) and other digital applications utilized on site (EHS, etc.)
  • Partners with Operations, Businesses, and cross-functional leaders to execute the global strategy for management of end user and/or super user networks to strengthen collaboration and improve overall site/Business Operations IT/OT performance and system effectiveness and efficiency. Contributes or defines the end user strategy development in their area.
  • Coordinates and executes functional and cross-functional training related to the technical area(s) of scope. Ensures broad leveraging of best practices and sharing of learning experiences across applicable networks.
  • Identify, report, and help resolve problems with the digital applications (DMA, EHS applications, etc.) and mobile solution technology
  • Provide support to end users for applications and mobile solution technology
  • Coordinates and leverages globally, the resources required for implementation of the global plans.
  • Monitors and measures implementation of the implementation plans.
  • Serves as a change agent for driving technology.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering or a science related discipline OR relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.
  • A minimum of 6 years of manufacturing, engineering, manufacturing maintenance or related experience required.
  • Registration or the ability to be registered with APEGA as a Professional Engineer required if Engineering degree.
  • A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.
