AECOM is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Reclamation Specialist to join our growing team in Calgary, Alberta. We are seeking a candidate who has a working knowledge of relevant Alberta and Federal regulations. The position will involve working to provide support on Post Development Projects including but not limited to revegetation plans, reclamation plans, Detailed Site Assessments (DSAs), reclamation certification assessments, environmental monitoring plans, permitting associated with post-development projects, and other related scopes of work. The successful candidate will work with an experienced team of scientists and technical specialists in ecology, permitting, and reclamation backgrounds to provide environmental support on multi-disciplinary projects in Alberta and across Western Canada. Supporting the preparation of regulatory applications, applicable to provincial and federal legislation, including under the Public Lands Act. Supporting and authoring regulatory and technical documents that support regulatory applications and permits. Supporting planning and coordinating logistics of environmental field studies. Working with a large multi-disciplinary team to execute projects and meet client expectations. Assisting Project Managers/project coordinators with tasks such as monthly project and budget update summaries, preparation of meeting minutes, scheduling, and coordinating field programs. Completing post-development field programs such as DSAs, vegetation, wetlands, wildlife, fisheries, and soils. Adhering to and enforcing corporate Safety, Health and Environment protocols and AECOM's quality control program. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Biological Sciences, or Geological Sciences, with professional registration (or eligibility for registration) in Alberta. ~ 6+ years of experience conducting DSAs in Alberta, including on forested, agricultural lands (tame pasture, cultivated), native grasslands, and peatland sites. ~Valid driver's license. ~ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors. ~ Exceptional organizational skills, with a focus on quality and time management. ~ Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications. ~ Master's degree in relevant field. ~ AECOM is the world's trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle – from advisory, planning, design and engineering to program and construction management.
