How does the role impact the organization?

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Life Insurance New Business Associate to join our Insurance Operations Team in Burnaby, British Columbia. As a Life Insurance New Business Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient processing of new life insurance applications. What will your role be responsible for?

  • Application Review:
    • Thoroughly review incoming life insurance applications for completeness and accuracy.
    • Verify that applications are submitted in good order, adhering to firm policies and industry regulations.
  • Coordination and Communication:
    • Act as a liaison between insurers and agents throughout the underwriting process.
    • Facilitate and manage correspondence, ensuring all parties are informed and updated on application status.
  • Record Maintenance:
    • Maintain accurate and organized records in the firm's policy administration system.
    • Update and document application progress, underwriting decisions, and any required follow-up actions.
  • Compliance Adherence:
    • Ensure that all application processing activities comply with industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Policy Administration Support :
    • Providing prompt, professional, and courteous assistance via phone, email, or in-person. Submit and follow up on agent of record changes.
  • Collaborate and corresponded closely with Life Insurance Administration team and insurance agents to ensure cohesive and streamlined service experience.

What do we expect from you?

To qualify for this opportunity you possess:

  • Previous experience in life insurance application processing or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate and correspond with multiple parties.
  • Knowledge of life insurance industry practices and underwriting processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for data entry and record-keeping.
  • Effective email and telephone etiquette.
