Sales Engineer - Pump and Chemical Engineer

This Sales Engineer is responsible for maximizing sales from a selected group of clientele and to generate business from new and existing accounts.

This position is responsible for liaison and coordination between the Company and its customers to ensure optimum levels of customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve customers and prospects by identifying their needs and applying relevant products to drive process improvements.
  • Oversee the entire sales process from lead generation to close, aligning with core values.
  • Utilize engineering expertise to influence customers throughout the sales process.

Key Activities:

  • Manage products in all sectors in British Columbia and Alberta, engaging with consulting engineers, end users, OEMs, and integrators.
  • Conduct onsite, prospect- and customer-facing visits 3-4 days weekly, with a base in the lower mainland of B.C. and travel across both provinces.
  • Establish relationships with prospects, customers, and influencers to understand current and future requirements.
  • Offer tailored solutions through a consultative sales approach.
  • Drive new business while nurturing current customer base through organized sales calls.
  • Communicate product value to Industrial, Biopharmaceutical, and Pharmaceutical markets.
  • Collaborate with Sales Manager to set targets and develop growth strategies.
  • Manage project pipeline from inquiry to production, ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Lead projects to ensure exceptional customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide market intelligence.
  • Cultivate relationships with engineering firms to support product specification.
  • Engage with trade show visitors and conduct educational events.
  • Contribute to refining marketing messages and new product development.

Skills and qualifications :

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Science preferred.
  • Proven track record of consultative sales in Industrial, Mining, Water Biopharmaceutical markets.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM/ERP systems knowledge preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 60%-80% of the time.
