Raymond James Ltd. is seeking an experienced Associate Advisor/Associate Portfolio Manager to work in our Barrie office. You will work closely with the Portfolio Manager and entire team, providing comprehensive administrative and portfolio management services to the team and clients. This is a permanent full-time position with a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Mandatory Licensing Requirements to apply for position:
• Industry CSC licensing is mandatory;
• Three years as an RR in the industry;
• Working towards CIM or CFA designations.

Limited overview of Administration, BA, Marketing, Insurance and US account duties as back-up:
• Learn overall aspects of the administrative process to appreciate the systems and process;
• Responsible for monitoring client accounts and maintaining client files;
• Learn our process for scanning all client documentation to central server files;
• Familiarize yourself with our Master Calendar and how we lay out our actions each month/year;
• Learn our pre-trade process for all PM trades;
• Prepare office for Compliance visits from head office personnel;
• Assist in planning, organizing and executing client and charitable events periodically throughout the year;
• Review our insurance support and marketing processes;
• Gain overview of US domiciled account systems and process;
• Objective is to gain an understanding of all that the administrative team does and how they support the business.

Periodic safety and light office duties, as needed:
• In winter, assist to occasionally clear walkway and put down salt for everyone's safety;
• Prior to client meetings walk through office area with fresh view and ensure office is clean and up to high standards;
• Be prepared to perform minor troubleshooting and software updates with office computers, fax and copier;
• Objective is to take 'ownership' of the office systems and safety of everyone.

More focused on these responsibilities after oriented with team duties:
• Prepare client reports and files ahead of Advisor client meetings;
• Manage account cash holdings and work to ensure always invested, earning top rates;
• Follow up with GIC maturities and working with clients to ensure cash investments match time frame and objectives;
• Attend all client meetings in the office, and zoom, with PM, to take notes and begin to get to know our clients and build relationships;
• Work with team to identify where you can provide specialized support for different aspects of the business;
• Prepare follow up notes for team to take action and ensure all wrapped up before folder filed;
• Monthly review of portfolio holdings and review key actions suggested with the Portfolio Manager;
• Manage and execute all PM trades with the support of the administration team;
• Work with PM to develop and expand a robust screening process to meet the needs of our specialized portfolios;
• Take over management of small accounts to provide personal support;
• Monitor and update monthly financial reports to track sales and assets to Business Plan. Meet with Manager monthly to appraise of performance to plan;
• Objective is to learn all aspects of the business to prepare for the take over of the business.

To qualify for this opportunity, you possess:
• Minimum 3 years' experience, working within the Financial Services industry as an RR;
• Able to provide constructive suggestions, ideas to improve client's experience with our office;
• Great organizational skills and a dependable nature to meet deadlines;
• The ability to organize year's reoccurring tasks;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• The ability to follow and execute well laid out business processes;
• The ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate a professional and friendly manner;

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
• Familiar with CRM software tools;

Advantageous Designations and Additional Licensing:
• CIM or CFA designation
• CFP designation
• Life Insurance license
• US securities licensing – series 7 or Series 65 (if PM qualified)
• TEP designation

Support is provided to cover some costs of all required licensing and applicable financial designations, as well as on-going focused professional career development, if you are a successful candidate.

This is an opportunity to develop into a full Financial Advisor/Portfolio Manager in this position, after demonstrating competence and mastery of key skills, and take over the business in time.
