How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Clinical Sleep Assistant facilitates the administrative aspects, and offers support in the storefront area as it pertains to CPAP therapy. Level 3 diagnostic testing and OSA/CPAP therapy education is the responsibility of the CSA. The incumbent will carry out all responsibilities while promoting RHS's safety and quality practices.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Clinical Sleep Assistant facilitates the administrative aspects, and offers support in the storefront area as it pertains to CPAP therapy. Level 3 diagnostic testing and OSA/CPAP therapy education is the responsibility of the CSA. The incumbent will carry out all responsibilities while promoting RHS's safety and quality practices.

  • Performing diagnostic Level 3 Sleep Testing per CPSA regulations

  • Assessing & setting up clients on CPAP & Bi-Pap therapy
  • Educate clients on their condition and their prescribed therapy and follow- up with clients as needed
  • Provide troubleshooting with medical devices

  • Assist in training of new Sleep Therapist employees if required
  • Ensure that all contact with clients is accurately charted in a timely manner.
  • Provide client education and training on safety related issues as part of delivery of service for all clients .
  • Responsible to help create and maintain a safe and healthful work environment.
  • Participate in on-call schedule where applicable
  • Fit clients with appropriate mask interfaces and CPAP units for home use Setting up & explaining various sleep diagnostic devices such as Snoresats & Apnea Links

Ability to lift and carrying up to 55 lbs unassisted

Knowledge of how to operate Respiratory Therapy equipment

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel etc.

Must have a valid provincial Driver's License

Ability to work under pressure & multitask

Willingness to complete required training for CPSGT certification
