Who we are looking for:

As IT Service Delivery Manager, you are an ambitious and organized individual who will bring high-level expertise and efficiency to managing IT Service Delivery projects at AutoCanada. You will guarantee the quality of projects delivered by the IT Service Delivery team through oversight of project management staff and contractors, budgets, and timelines. You are a natural change manager, and you will ensure consistency in clarity in communications with stakeholders. In this critical role, you will report directly into the VP, Information Management and Technology, advising on PMO governance and standards, assisting in the project intake process and reporting on the status of all in-flight initiatives.

What you will do:

  • Manage Project Managers (staff and contractors) and a Project Coordinator.
  • Maintain Project Management governance and ensure it is followed.
  • Conduct strategic planning of projects, ensuring alignment to organization goals.
  • Ensure project benefits are tracked and achieved.
  • Facilitate the Project Review Board for project intake requests.
  • Ensure the quality of each project completed meets the organizational needs.
  • Develop and oversee change management plans and ensure adequate communication and training.
  • Provide coaching and mentor Project Management team members.
  • Manage resources across projects based on priorities, budgets, and schedules.
  • Maintain the project roadmap.
  • Provide leadership around process improvement using industry best project management practices.
  • Ensure project budgets are assigned, tracked and variances reported on.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to establish the project processes and interdependencies.
  • Provide executive reporting on projects.

What you bring to the table

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a management role or managing a Project Management Office.
  • PMP, PgMP certification would be a strong asset.
  • Business Relationship Management skills.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional and demonstrated written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. (Agile, Waterfall, PMBOK, MS Project).
  • Experience with Organizational Change Management methodologies. (PROSCI).
  • Able to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong planning and organization skills.
  • Business acumen and ability to communicate within all levels of an organization.
  • Previous experience working in the automotive industry would be an asset.
