Position Summary
Working in a team environment, the Eligibility Analyst,will thrive in a fast-past environment where accuracy and attention to detail are second nature. As an Eligibility Analyst, you access, analyze, and determine program eligibility following policy guidelines and procedures,you will be required to remain current with respect to policy and procedure changes and will liaise closely with colleagues and the Leadership team.The main goal of the Eligibility Analystis to process requests for MSI and Pharmacare coverage and provide consistent, reliable customer service experiences.Documentation processing is a key component of this position with turnaround expectations.
Hours for this role would be Evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine eligibility following established policy and guidelines defined by the Nova Scotia Department of Health & Wellness.
  • Process applications, renewals, payments and other changes related to the various provincial programs' requirements.
  • Handling incoming documentation/correspondence from residents/colleagues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain tracking records.
  • Review various routine QA reports pertaining to enrolmentand eligibility information and make necessary changes.
  • Correspond with applicants,residents or providers by fax, telephone,or letters.
  • Produce clear and effective written materials.
  • Adhere to privacy guidelines following proper procedures.
  • Adhere and contribute to the performance measures under the Service Level Agreement contract (KPIs), and provide back up support to CSRs or other positions as needed to meet KPI.
  • Provide input for the maintenance and upkeep of the procedural documentation.
  • Access customer needs and address issues in a timely manner (including appropriate customer follow-up) meeting quality objective.
  • Provide operational support to the Provincial Programs as needed.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy when processing documentation and updating resident files.
  • Highly effective listening skills to ascertain customer's needs, and determine appropriate action required forsolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex issues to customers and colleagues
  • Excellent time management skills

    Education: High school diploma; Enrollment in post secondary education
    Work Experience: Customer service and data entry experience would be considered an asset, and set you up for sucess in the role

    Other Qualifications:
    Computer Skills: Experience working in a PC setting with multiple software applications including experience navigating between applications and the internet. Strong keyboarding skills and the ability to enter data with speed and precision.
    Language Skills: Bilingualism in English and French considered an asset.
