Job Description - Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HR-001330) Senior Human Resources Business Partner - HR-001330 Employment Type : Permanent Full-time As the result of a province wide consolidation of IT services in the health care sector, we have seen substantial growth in our organization that is only going to increase as we aim to meet our expanded mandate and the immense need for our support. We are a Treasury Board Crown Corporation that focuses on digital technologies to enable, support, and enhance high quality health services across the entire province. Although we may not be front facing with patient care, we have a huge role in maintaining and improving IT systems and supporting health care providers and teams throughout Saskatchewan in delivering the best possible care to patients, citizens, and health system users. Programs range from primary care to acute care, and includes laboratories, pharmaceuticals and diagnostics. Additional programs and services that support patient care and information include Virtual Care, MySaskHealthRecord, the Provincial Electronic Health Record, Health Registries (eligibility for health services/distribution of health cards) and vital event records. The Opportunity – Senior HR Business Partner In addition to supporting a growing organization, our emerging and talented HR team is also in "build mode" – meaning that the successful candidate will have the unique and exciting opportunity to partner, collaborate and shape the future of HR within the organization. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Sr. HR Business Partner will work closely with senior leaders in the organization, as well as provide guidance and mentorship to Business Partners and HR Consultants. A true partnership, the successful candidate will develop strong business acumen and a trusted relationship with a designated senior leadership client group. Not only will this role be responsible for providing guidance, interpretation and support in all areas of HR, they will also be a thought partner and a strategic liaison between senior leaders in the organization and the overall HR department, aligning corporate goals and priorities to HR initiatives and programs – using data and analytics to make informed recommendations, root cause diagnostics, and proactive strategies. HR Business Partner will work closely with Centre's of Excellence (COEs), operationalizing HR programing and initiatives with their client group, the organization and the HR Business Partner Team. This is a leadership role, responsible for coaching and mentoring Business Partners and contributing to the overall strategic priorities of the organization and department. Through influencing and relationship building – partner with those key stakeholders and senior leaders. Equip yourself and the team with knowledge, leveraging and brokering subject matter expertise and data-analytics to ensure the best recommendations that tackle the root cause of a problem. • Be strategic and creative – although you may need to dive into the weeds from time-to-time, be sure to come up and see the bigger picture we are working towards. Apply your HR expertise and understanding of the business and let that guide your creativity. • Taking a project management and planned approach to tackling some of the bigger initiatives and priorities is key. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field. CPHR designation would be considered an asset; • Minimum of 8 years of complex generalist human resources leadership experience; • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, performance management, and federal and provincial respective employment laws; • Strong overall business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to quickly grasp the business issues and understand business strategy; • Experience working in a unionized environment and comfortable reading and interpreting collective agreement language; • We are committed to workplace diversity. #
