Why eHealth?

We may be biased, but eHealth Saskatchewan is the place to be right now! As the result of a province wide consolidation of IT services in the health care sector, we have seen substantial growth in our organization that is only going to increase as we aim to meet our expanded mandate and the immense need for our support. This gives our people a unique and rare opportunity to truly create, build, improve, and leave their mark on a growing organization.

We are a Treasury Board Crown Corporation that focuses on digital technologies to enable, support, and enhance high quality health services across the entire province. There is no greater job satisfaction than knowing the work you do is directly related to saving a life or bringing a new one into the world. Although we may not be front facing with patient care, we have a huge role in maintaining and improving IT systems and supporting health care providers and teams throughout Saskatchewan in delivering the best possible care to patients, citizens, and health system users. Programs range from primary care to acute care, and includes laboratories, pharmaceuticals and diagnostics. Additional programs and services that support patient care and information include Virtual Care, MySaskHealthRecord, the Provincial Electronic Health Record, Health Registries (eligibility for health services/distribution of health cards) and vital event records.

Our vision is "Connected healthcare, accessible to everyone, everywhere" with a mission to "Collaborate to transform healthcare through the use of information and innovative technology". It is a complex environment, constantly evolving and quick to change as we live our values of excellence, integrity, teamwork, courage, resilience and collaboration.

The Opportunity – Senior HR Business Partner

In addition to supporting a growing organization, our emerging and talented HR team is also in "build mode" – meaning that the successful candidate will have the unique and exciting opportunity to partner, collaborate and shape the future of HR within the organization.

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Sr. HR Business Partner will work closely with senior leaders in the organization, as well as provide guidance and mentorship to Business Partners and HR Consultants.

A true partnership, the successful candidate will develop strong business acumen and a trusted relationship with a designated senior leadership client group. Not only will this role be responsible for providing guidance, interpretation and support in all areas of HR, they will also be a thought partner and a strategic liaison between senior leaders in the organization and the overall HR department, aligning corporate goals and priorities to HR initiatives and programs – using data and analytics to make informed recommendations, root cause diagnostics, and proactive strategies.

The Sr. HR Business Partner will work closely with Centre's of Excellence (COEs), operationalizing HR programing and initiatives with their client group, the organization and the HR Business Partner Team. This is a leadership role, responsible for coaching and mentoring Business Partners and contributing to the overall strategic priorities of the organization and department.

How will you do this?

• Through influencing and relationship building – partner with those key stakeholders and senior leaders. Deeply understand their needs and apply that lens in all that you do.

• Nerd out and be analytical! Equip yourself and the team with knowledge, leveraging and brokering subject matter expertise and data-analytics to ensure the best recommendations that tackle the root cause of a problem.

• Be strategic and creative – although you may need to dive into the weeds from time-to-time, be sure to come up and see the bigger picture we are working towards. Apply your HR expertise and understanding of the business and let that guide your creativity.

• Leadership – understand the people and your team. Know when to "mentor" versus "coach" and how to build on strengths.

• Collaborative – value input and working with others as a way to achieve the best outcome possible.

• Also, a little organization never hurt anyone. Taking a project management and planned approach to tackling some of the bigger initiatives and priorities is key.

Typically, the Ideal Candidate would have:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field. CPHR designation would be considered an asset;

• Minimum of 8 years of complex generalist human resources leadership experience;

• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, performance management, and federal and provincial respective employment laws;

• Strong overall business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to quickly grasp the business issues and understand business strategy;

• Experience working in a unionized environment and comfortable reading and interpreting collective agreement language;

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with employees, managers and external agencies on a diverse range of matters;

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills;

• Excellent time management and organization skills, with the proven ability to prioritize based on organizational requirements, and to meet the demands of a high volume portfolio;

• Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to lead, read the room, and manage the audience;

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; and

• Proficient experience in MS 365 applications.

What we offer:

• Dynamic, challenging work for talented individuals;

• Paid vacation, scheduled days off and other types of leave; and

• Inclusive work environments

If this role sounds like the opportunity you've been looking for to challenge yourself, make a difference in people's lives, and showcase your abilities – we would love to hear from you.

We are committed to workplace diversity.
